Your ability to adapt to changing environments while focusing on customer service excellence sets you apart. A full UK driving license and relevant qualifications in vehicle technology and health and safety are essential.
What The Job Involves
This role includes overseeing the day-to-day management of a workshop, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as inspections of Plymouth City Council's fleet. You will ensure compliance with VOSA regulations and the council's operating license. Implementing safe working practices and policies, you will manage a team of 14 operational staff members, handle a £750k budget, and ensure high-standard customer-focused service delivery. The role requires maintaining productivity in line with commercial garage operations, managing repairs, and improving the overall department reputation through excellent service delivery. Additionally, duties include monitoring monthly charging, managing stock effectively, and resolving customer complaints within corporate timeframes.
