Who You Are

We're seeking caring and reliable individuals who enjoy working with children and young people. Candidates with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) will have an advantage. This position is perfect for individuals returning to work after caring for a young family or those partially retired looking for a rewarding part-time role during term time. It’s also an excellent opportunity for anyone aspiring to gain experience working with children and young adults within the educational sector.

What the job involves

As a Passenger Assistant, you will help ensure the safe and comfortable travel of children and young people, including those with additional needs, to and from school or college. You'll support students during their journey and work closely with drivers and schools to ensure each journey is smooth and stress-free. You may be required to cover for unavailable Passenger Assistants, with working hours typically Monday to Friday, between 07:00–10:00 and 14:00–17:00 during term time. Flexibility is important as hours can vary based on routes and student schedules. We provide a pick-up and drop-off service for staff living within Plymouth City boundaries.
