You are an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a passion for customer service and history. You possess a good standard of education, ideally with some ICT/computing experience, and you are comfortable working in a dynamic and flexible environment. Your excellent communication skills, including proficiency in public speaking and possibly in a language other than English, allow you to handle diverse groups efficiently. You are dedicated to providing an exceptional visitor experience and have a keen interest in local heritage.

What the Job Involves

As a Shop & Ticket Assistant / Visitor Host at Cardiff Castle, you will ensure the smooth operation of the site and deliver a first-class customer experience. You will be responsible for providing historical information, managing group bookings, assisting with special events, and handling electronic ticketing systems. You will also maintain a clean and tidy ticket office, monitor stock levels, and assist in promoting the city as a premiere tourist destination. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes working weekends, bank holidays, and evenings.
