Who You Are
You are an experienced Senior Practitioner with a dedication to enhancing the lives of children and families. You hold a full qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent) and possess at least 3 years of experience in statutory social care. Your expertise includes assessment, report writing, and managing complex caseloads. You are committed to working in a restorative practice model to support children with disabilities.
What the Job Involves
This role is within the Children with Disabilities team in Herefordshire, where you will contribute to the journey of improvement for children and families. You will support team members and have specific supervisory responsibilities over social workers and other staff within the Directorate and partner agencies. Your duties include completing assessment work, conducting child protection and court work, and ensuring consistency in practice across the team's child-centered work.
