As a dedicated Adults Safeguarding Lawyer, you will bring comprehensive expertise in adult social care law. You will serve as an expert and valuable resource in your field, providing critical legal guidance and support. Your experience will enable you to manage a wide range of complex cases effectively and contribute significantly to safeguarding adults through legal processes.
What the Job Involves
You will deliver a professional legal service encompassing all aspects of adult social care law, focusing on Court of Protection work and related areas such as ordinary residence and the Care Act 2014. Your role will involve offering legal advice and practical assistance on the full array of the Council’s adult social care services. You will conduct a variety of adult service cases, including those with complex or significant issues, performing advocacy in Courts and Tribunals as appropriate. Responsibilities will include advising on evidence and procedure, conducting trials, preparing cases, evaluating evidence, and drafting necessary court applications and documentation. Occasionally, you may also handle child protection cases, ensuring they are processed efficiently.
