What the Job Involves
As a part of the Independent Chair Service in the Strategic Safeguarding and Independent Review Group at Nottinghamshire County Council, you will be responsible for the independent review and coordination of care plans for looked after children, child protection plans, care leavers' plans, and supervision orders. The role involves applying a strength-based approach to reviews and monitoring the Local Authority's functions as a corporate parent. You will work within a strategic safeguarding framework that includes responsibility for addressing issues like child exploitation and safeguarding in education. Regular supervision and team support will be provided as you contribute to improving practice standards and outcomes for the children in your care.
