Who You Are
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional who is passionate about adult safeguarding and capable of effectively managing a diverse and complex caseload. You should be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with strong experience in adult safeguarding or similar statutory adult services. Your confidence in managing risk, along with your excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills, will be essential in this role. You should also be flexible, proactive, and able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
What the Job Involves
This role involves leading and coordinating safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014 and triaging new concerns as part of the Duty Rota. You will manage a diverse and complex caseload with autonomy and professional judgement, undertaking strengths-based assessments and developing outcome-focused support plans. It also involves completing Mental Capacity Assessments when required, and engaging in Making Safeguarding Personal Conversations to shape risk planning and outcomes. Collaboration with health partners, police, care providers, and voluntary organisations is a key part of the job, as is applying legislation, policy, and best practice to protect adults from harm or abuse. Additionally, you will provide professional advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies.
