Cleaner (Grade 1)

Who You Are

You are a team player capable of effectively communicating with others, whether working as part of a team or independently. Ideal candidates will possess knowledge of COSHH and have previous experience in a cleaning environment. While Welsh language skills are essential at Level 1, other levels may be desirable depending on the position specifics.

What the Job Involves

The primary purpose of the role is to provide an efficient, high-quality cleaning service to a designated area within Rhondda Cynon Taf Council's premises. As a Cleaner, you are responsible for ensuring that all designated areas are maintained to a satisfactory standard. Duties include:

• Cleaning specific areas of the building to an approved standard.
• Assisting in cleaning other areas if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Following all Health and Safety Procedures rigorously.
• Maintaining and ordering stock levels as appropriate.
• Unlocking or locking the building when required.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the Council's efforts to combat climate change and contributing to safeguarding efforts when necessary. The role may require undertaking duties that align with the local health and safety policies and procedures.
