Tutor - Level 5

Who You Are

You have some experience working in multicultural community-based adult learning environments, with a demonstrated history of collaboration with various agencies to develop partnerships and deliver services. As an experienced educator, you are adept at teaching adult learning programs and supporting learners with administrative tasks like form completion and fee collection. You possess a strong understanding of equality, diversity, and the common inspection framework as they apply to teaching and learning. Your knowledge spans at least one curriculum area, and you are familiar with health and safety policies and procedures in educational delivery settings. You excel in communication, both for assessing individual and community needs and for engaging partners in planning educational programs.

What the Job Involves

The role requires planning and delivering high-quality, accredited and non-accredited learning programs tailored to individual learner needs. You will conduct initial and diagnostic assessments, set SMART targets, and provide ongoing reviews and feedback to learners. You will facilitate learner inductions, manage records accurately, and support learners with employability needs. Additionally, you may prepare learners for examinations, contribute to internal quality assurance, and ensure compliance with qualification requirements. The role also involves participating in performance reviews and engaging in continuous professional development. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are expected to attend events and support community engagement activities.

  • Qualified with Level 3 PTTLS, desirably DTTLS Level 5

  • ICT qualification (ECDL or equivalent, desirable)
