You are adaptable, able to work independently and collaboratively, and are committed to professional growth through training and reflective practice.

What the job involves

As a Family Help Social Worker, you will work intensively with children and families to foster trust and create positive change. Your role involves assessing children in need, managing caseloads across early help and statutory work, and using creativity in partnerships to promote child safeguarding. You'll contribute to specialist practice, participate in shaping safeguarding strategies, and undertake court work processes. Collaborating with early help practitioners, family support workers, and multi-agency partners is key, as is maintaining a fast-paced and effective working environment.

Skills

  • Qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualified experience
  • Strong interest in family support and child safeguarding
  • Proven ability in assessment and planning processes
  • Experience or knowledge of court work and legal processes
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
  • Creativity in designing and implementing interventions
