Who You Are
Granby Hub is seeking a Reablement Assistant for our 30-bed reablement unit in central Liverpool. You are someone who is passionate about helping individuals improve their independence and ability to live autonomously. You will work collaboratively with families and other agencies to deliver coordinated services. Your role is centered around meeting the physical, social, and emotional needs of service users, promoting independence, and enhancing living skills as outlined in their care plan.
What the job involves
As a Reablement Assistant, you will assist service users with tasks agreed upon in their support plans to improve and maintain their daily living skills. You will work with individuals to encourage them to maximize their potential for interdependent or assisted living within the community. This includes developing kitchen skills, managing household maintenance, and promoting personal healthcare in a supportive environment.
Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to achieve certification
- Experience in an adult social care setting
- Ability to follow a designated reablement program
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Effectively relate to others
- Strong listening skills
- Flexibility to work shifts between 8am and 10pm
